Jessie Sholl has called a pup tent home while gutting salmon in an Alaskan fish cannery, been caught in a hurricane in Belize, and hiked across southern Bohemia and Moravia. She holds an M.F.A. in creative writing from the New School, where she teaches fiction writing, and has had short stories published in several literary journals, including Other Voices, CutBank, Lit, and Fiction. She has been awarded residencies to The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow and Ragdale, and is currently finishing her first novel, You Are Here.
