A European Cruise

We are trying to choose between a cruise that starts in Rome (Sorrento, Sardinia, Corsica, Livorno, Portofino, St. Tropez and Monte Carlo) or choice #2 Nice, Portovenere, Livorno, Valencia, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, and Barcelona. We have not visited any of these locations, and are wondering which might be the better choice for a first time Europe visitor? (We won the cruise) Thanks.

I haven't been to all of these destinations either, but having done a great deal of traveling in Europe over the years, my first choice of these cruises below would be the one that starts in Rome. But that's my personal preference—I don't think you can go wrong with either of these. Flip a coin and you'll be fine!
