Buying Now or Waiting—Travel to Costa Rica

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip, flying from Los Angeles to Costa Rica from March 17 to May 17. Thus far, the best (all taxes/fees included) airfare we have found is $477 roundtrip. Should we go for it, or hold out for a better deal?

Wow that’s a long trip. Yes $477 is about right for travel between Los Angeles and San Jose, Costa Rica. You might hold off for a week or so, but not much longer because you will start to approach the 21 and 14 day advance ticketing deadlines. Also, since you are traveling for such a long period of time you will not qualify for any of the short getaway fares—so overall I think you're doing well with the $477 fare.
