How can I get a cheap first class flight one way?

In response to traditionally high business fares, many airlines have begun to offer special “first class fares.” For example, America West is discounting first class fares as much as 70%. These fares are especially useful for one-way trips, which typically can be more expensive than round-trip airfares.

I suggest checking with your airline’s web site and looking for their special offer section. You can also call the airline directly to inquire about their special first-class fares.

Secondly, you can purchase a discounted coach ticket and use one of the upgrading techniques I describe in many of the questions on this site or in my book.

PS: Sometimes you can find deals on the major travel sites. I suggest comparing air ticket prices across each site to get a baseline, and modify your search to include first class tickets.
