Australia Flight

Dear Joel,

I am taking my husband and children to Australia—a long flight and I want to travel in comfort, especially for kids! How can I upgrade to business class and what will I get?

Thanks.

Hi Suzanne,

Traveling in comfort is certainly big on my list. Since you are traveling with your family you might consider purchasing a business class ticket that provides a matching companion ticket. In many cases this option will save you money versus purchasing a full set of coach tickets.

I also recommend you review the past questions under the heading "upgrading" for more first class tips. Lastly, the second edition of the Penny Pincher’s Passport is now available with a slew of upgrading tips.

The comfort you will receive in business class includes spacious seating, pre-boarding, dedicated check-in and security clearing lines, private airport lounge, on-board entertainment, and better quality food.

All the best,

Joel
