Companion Ticket
My partner will be flying from Singapore to London on a business trip, on BA business class. We will be purchasing an economy class ticket for myself. I do not belong to a frequent flier program, but hold a visa platinum card. Other than asking for an upgrade at the check-in counter, what can we do?

Hi Tiffany,
If you have not already purchased your ticket you might look into a companion ticket based on the purchase of a business class ticket. British Airlines often offers companion tickets with a paid business class ticket. American Express also provides free companion tickets with certain purchases.
This would be the best means and will save you the cost of the economy ticket.
Enjoy,
Joel
