Cigarettes within the U.S.

How many cartons of cigarettes are you allowed to pack when flying inside the US.

Dear Vance,

I'm not aware of any restrictions on the amount of cigarettes you can pack in your suitcase for personal consumption when flying from one state to another within the U.S. If your luggage exceeds the air carrier's weight limit, however, they will charge you extra based on their rules.

For any additional questions, contact the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms in Washington, DC. Their website: www.atf.gov/tobacco/rules/index.htm.

If you are coming from another country, check Know Before You Go for regulations on tobacco products on the government's website: www.customs.gov.
