Community Service
My daughter, a college student, will be flying to India for a community service project in May on Virgin Atlantic and then Sri Lanka Airlines.
Are these airlines affiliated with the frequent flier program of any American Airline (A/A, Delta, United, or US Air?). I would like her to be able to gather miles for an airline that she would be more likely to use in the future.
Thanks for the info.

Hi Ev,
Yes, you can have the miles from the Virgin Atlantic flight applied toward a Delta Air Line or Continental Airlines miles account.
Prior to your flight, make a request to Virgin Atlantic to place your account number from Delta or Continental in your record.
I hope your daughter enjoys her trip.
