Trying to use miles
Yesterday, I tried to get two tickets - for myself and my 12 year old son - on Delta to fly from Washington to Denver with my 50,000 miles June 22.
Even though the plane was more than half empty, I had to use 50K miles per ticket. So my son cannot go with me.
Unless there is no other option, I will never fly Delta again.

Greetings,
Airlines have open up some of their inventory but only in select markets. I think that most often the higher award level is becoming the norm. If your flexible you might fine more options, or purchase a ticket as airfares have been fairly low this spring and into the summer.
My best,
Joel Widzer
