Dear Tina,

En route between both cities, stop by Fidenza Village Outlet Shopping—upscale and quaint, and family friendly if traveling with relatives in tow. It’s open and has the feel of a small town with pedestrian piazzas, walkways, restaurants and sidewalk benches. Known for its diversity, this outdoor outlet mixes non brand designer labels with a few famous ones so you’re likely to find something unusual. It’s open every day from 10AM to 8 PM.

By car, it’s about an hour or so from either city. From Milan, take the A-1 towards Bologna and exit at " Fidenza / Salsomaggiore. By train, from the Central Station in Milan, hop on the Milano-Bologna line and get off at Fidenza station. A shuttle bus from the station to Fidenza Village operates about every half-hour. It’s best to check with your hotel concierge or a tourist bureau in whatever town you’re staying in to confirm directions and / or times as schedules may change seasonally. Hope you find a bargain!
Happy Shopping,
