For the past 15 years, my family and I have gone to an ultra luxurious Alaskan fishing lodge. Much to our dismay, we are not sure if the lodge is going to open this summer, and are looking to identify some alternatives. Luxury accommodations and gourmet food are important to us, and also an open bar is essential. We are also looking for a lodge that includes fly outs and equipment as part of the package. Can you make any recommendations, as I’ve been disappointed by most of the places I’ve found on the web so far.

I know how disappointing it can be when you lose your favorite vacation spot. For me, it was an adored resort in Maui, whose service and prestige degraded considerably.
There is one web site that might be of assistance in your search for new accommodations. Virtuoso Travel Specialistsspecializes in higher-end travel. Although I have not personally used this service, many respected colleagues rave about it. Currently, the home page of their web site has a special blurb on Alaska. Your can search for opportunities directly on their site or have a travel professional assist you.
After you find a suitable alternative, I highly recommended that you directly call the new establishment and personally speak to the lodge owner or general manager. Let them know that for the past fifteen years you have been visiting another high-end property, however, since they are no-longer available to serve you, you hope that their resort will become your enduring vacation destination. Be sure to stress all the amenities that are important to you, and mention any important special considerations.
I am sure that the new lodge will see this as an opportunity to win over a long-term repeat guest, and serve you with celebrated distinction.
Let me know how this works out for you.
