The government announced Nov. 19 that it has received credible evidence of a terrorist threat in Australia for the next couple of months. The threat is linked to al Qaeda, is similar to those received by the U.S. and U.K. and is nonspecific. The government is urging Australians to continue business as usual but to be alert.
