The U.S. State Department has extended its public announcement reminding travelers that a high potential for terrorist attacks exists in the region. The announcement states that “supporters of Al-Qaida and other extremists are active in East Africa” and that aircraft remain vulnerable to shoulder-fired missiles and seaports may also be targeted.
