But the discovery of a car in Paris packed with explosives Mar. 22 suggests that they may be increasing their efforts and extending their reach. Police were scouring the city for a second car bomb amid speculation that the rebels were simply making a point for future negotiation of their demands. With luck, no such bombs will detonate in Paris or elsewhere.
