Hurricane Juliette ravaged the tip of Baja California the last week of September, washing away bridges, highways and hundreds of homes. Power and water service were knocked out in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo but most luxury resorts suffered only minor damage and cleanup is proceeding. The 18 inches of rain over four days equaled the rain expected over four complete rainy seasons.
