Few security experts expected a terrorist attack in Morocco, especially of the magnitude of the five nearly simultaneous bombings that killed 41 and injured more than 100 May 16. But the incidents suggest the reach of Islamic terrorists, whether tied to al Qaeda or not. Authorities are still uncertain of al Qaeda links to the attack, but all of the attackers were Moroccan.
