If planning to trek, avoid districts where maoists have been active, which include Dang, Dolakha, Dolpa, Gorkha, Jajarkot, Kabhre, Kalikot, Pyuthan, Ramechaap, Rolpa, Rukum, Salyan, Sindhuli, Sindupalchok and Surkhet.
