There are several factory outlets near Florence. Check out the Prada Outlet in Montevarchi, or try The Mall between Florence and Montevarchi just off the A1 Autostrada t. The Mall is an upscale shopping strip with brands such as Gucci, Armani, Yves Saint Lauren, Sergio Rossi, and others.
In Florence, if you want to downscale, wander over to Mercato Nuovo for leather as well as other souvenirs. The name of this open air market means New Market even though it’s old. Dating from the mid 16th Century, Mercato Nuovo—aka Porcellino for the early 17th century fountain of a boar in the center—has a few dozen vendors. Market location: Via Porta San Maria and Via Porta Rossa. Don’t forget to bargain!
Staying with the up-market leather goods, you might want to investigate

Another site that may help you is www.touritalynow.com for factory directions by car or train.
