En route between both cities, stop by Fidenza Village Outlet Shopping—upscale and quaint, and family friendly if traveling with relatives in tow. It’s open and has the feel of a small town with pedestrian piazzas, walkways, restaurants and sidewalk benches. Known for its diversity, this outdoor outlet mixes non brand designer labels with a few famous ones so you’re likely to find something unusual. It’s open every day from 10AM to 8 PM.
By car, it’s about an hour or so from either city. From Milan, take the A-1 towards Bologna and exit at ” Fidenza / Salsomaggiore. By train, from the Central Station in Milan, hop on the Milano-Bologna line and get off at Fidenza station. A shuttle bus from the station to Fidenza Village operates about every half-hour. It’s best to check with your hotel concierge or a tourist bureau in whatever town you’re staying in to confirm directions and / or times as schedules may change seasonally.
