According to the Bank of Thailand, criminals have been planting “skimmers” in ATMs to copy data off magnetic strips and using the information to withdraw cash from accounts. The skimmers are slightly larger than an ATM card and fit inside the card slot. If the slot looks unusual in any way, go to a different machine.
