Parliamentary elections that polls predict will be won by the opposition are set for June 24-25. The run-up to the election has been fraught with intimidation and violence sponsored by President Robert Mugabe and carried out by his supporters in a last-ditch effort to retain power. The aftermath could be bloody; travel here should be avoided until election results and their ramifications are known.
